The Ruby on Rails developer we are looking for is 80% Ruby and 100% developer.

What do we mean by that? You sure love Ruby on Rails, but you’re also a developer who is continuously seeking tools to create the best solutions. You know your coding standards and design patterns, so if there’s time to learn something new and bring you one step closer to delivering an awesome product, why not!

You will be part of a supportive and talented team of 2 designers and 8 developers of which most have over 7 years of experience. Working together as a team, sometimes working highly independent, but always with room to help each other out when needed.

This is you;

• You have 3+ years of experience in software development and are able to work with at least 2 different programming languages; Ruby (Ruby on Rails), Java, C++, Python, PHP, Javascript (client and/or server -side).
• You have a deep understanding of object oriented programming, design patterns and write clean, readable, maintainable, reusable and testable code.
• Programming for you is like riding a bike. Whether it’s a mountain-, city- or road bike you’re up and running in no time.
• You can communicate in English fluently
• You’re a team player by heart but enjoy working independently from time to time.
• You’re having a true getting things done mentality and are great in managing expectations.
• You might find this vacancy a bit salesy and prefer a more down-to-earth approach. But you also understand we needed to use terminologie like Ruby or Ruby on Rails quite often for you to be able to locate our vacancy.
